About Race Me Stables
Race Me Stables is a family-owned and operated horse care facility right here in Westbrook, ME. Bill and Betsy Childs, along with their children, Jess and Nick, as well as the dog and cats, moved to the farm in 2001. Prior to this time, Race Me Stables had been owned and operated since 1972 by Bill's parents, Dana and Jean Childs. With Dana's passing in 1999, Jean realized the time had come to hand the reins over to her youngest son, Bill, whose dreams had always been to mind the herd.
Since our stable opened its doors in 2001, we have gone from being strictly a racehorse training facility to a barn that boards much loved horses. We treat every boarder like they are a part of our family.
